🤍 BRAVO SIERRA | Vanilla Hide | my review
I bought this for the black tea. I did not expect it to take me straight back to a horse barn.

The actual wear story
I bought Vanilla Hide knowing very little about it, other than that it had black tea in it, and I’ve been wanting to explore more tea fragrances.
I grew up in the country, surrounded by wheat and cornfields, and some of my favorite childhood memories are of spending time in my grandparents’ horse barn. Whenever it was time to feed the horses, I’d head straight for the big barley bins, stick my head right in, and take a deep sniff of that sweet, fermented grain.
To be clear, Vanilla Hide does not smell like barley. But black tea can have these earthy, malty, slightly fermented nuances, and the tea here has exactly that quality.
One sniff and I was that little girl in the barn again, head in the barley bin.
A memory I hadn’t thought about in years, brought back by one fragrance.
But Vanilla Hide is so much more than black tea.
The coriander gives me this bright green freshness, while the sueded rose and violet leaf create a clean, almost aftershave-like quality. Underneath all of that is this dry, earthy base, and the whole fragrance sits incredibly close to my skin.
And here’s the funny part.
For a fragrance called Vanilla Hide, I’m not getting vanilla, and I’m definitely not getting a warm, sweet gourmand.
Vanilla? Where?
I’m calling BS. 😂
What I AM getting is one hell of an interesting fragrance.
Here’s why:
Why it moves
black tea + amber = dry warmth
sueded rose + violet leaf = cool clean freshness
vetiver + patchouli = earthy woods
The tea gives it that dry, malty depth, the floral-green middle keeps everything cool and clean, and the woods underneath keep it grounded without weighing it down.
